UK New updating about visa post done by KB Visa Consultants

UK shifts to eVisas from July 15: Don’t fly without ticking  ..

Starting July 15, 2025, the UK will issue all new visas as eVisas, replacing physical visa stickers. As part of a major immigration system overhaul, the United Kingdom is moving to fully digital visas that link directly to the holder’s passport. This change applies to all migrant categories, including international students from countries like India — one of the largest groups coming to the UK for higher education. By switching to eVisas, the UK aims to streamline its immigration process. However, students must ensure they complete all digital and procedural requirements before traveling.

Under the new rules, the UK will stop issuing the traditional visa vignette—a sticker placed in the passport. Instead, students will receive an eVisa, which serves as a secure digital immigration status linked electronically to their passport. The government will provide each student with an online account to access and manage their immigration status. Student passport details ought to be up to dated during this changes. If they renew their passport or make any changes, they must update the UK government’s digital records to maintain valid proof of their legal stay.

Digital account and document readiness

Every student should have their own UKVI account to manage e-visa . This account is useful to prove your status in UK in front of owner, immigration and get job in UK .Students must remember their login credentials and keep their contact details accurate. Landlords and university administrators will use the UKVI system to verify a student’s right to rent accommodation and Enrol in courses. If students fail to update their digital records, they may face delays or complications during compliance checks.
